ABOUT US
Dan Rockenbach, the visionary principal and founder of Rockenbach Design Studio, established the residential and commercial interior design firm in Charleston, South Carolina. His educational journey includes a Business Economics and Public Policy degree from Indiana’s Kelley School of Business, as well as Interior Design at SCAD.
Dan’s path into design was unconventional - a shift from the tech world, including Google and the startup scene in Silicon Valley, to real estate investment in New York City, culminating in a full transition to design. This blend of business acumen and artistic flair makes Dan truly unique. His design philosophy centers around thoughtful spatial planning, originality, and a harmonious blend of the old and new. For Dan, spaces should be personal reflections that tell stories and evoke emotions.
Originally hailing from Madison, Wisconsin, Dan has called various cities home, including Charlotte, San Francisco, New York City, Savannah, Boulder and Charleston. His global travels have enriched his design perspective, allowing him to appreciate and learn from diverse cultures and aesthetics.
